Off to See the Wizard

It is a long windy road, with many goblins to watch out for. But with the right shoes, it's very possible to make your way along it. Unlike the movie, there isn't just one castle and there isn't a final destination. It's never ending. Longest video game ever. But in my opinion, the best damn one to play. It may be hard to believe, but I've just now completed level one. And the wizard is waiting to give me my reward. Wanna hear it?

Where did the laughs go?

....I've been studying and planning and writing and memorizing and recording and practicing and brainstorming and writing and drinking water and learning and writing and listening and thinking and listening and handling a tape measurer rather badly and sitting in silence and microwaving my meals and drinking water and planning and thinking and writing and eating chips ahoy to add some excitement to my day and writing and singing and singing and singing and....well...... I would like to take just one minute in between all of this and simply have a laugh.

Return to LAlaland

This place is becoming easier to get along with. It does me good to go back home to Jersey and visit those places that first inspired me. Now I feel recharged and full of magic fuel. Hope it lasts me till Christmas. And who knows if I'll even get to revisit then. I'm going to have to experience the Fall and Winter seasons again at some point.

There's just something gorgeous and comforting about the smell and look of dried Autumn leaves mixed with sips of Pumkin Spice Latte while sitting on a bench by the pond.

There's something about the gray antique look the clouds and bare branches on the arching trees give over the small town streets while driving with my left foot tucked into my chest on the seat.

There's something about Orion's belt.

There's something about staying up late in my deep red room listening to Damien Rice with the windows wide open to smell the cold sharp night while painting or writing on the walls.

There's something about the way these 2 seasons make music sound to me. But even more, the way they make music feel to me.

But, I'll be missing it again this year for the 2nd time. I'm fine for now. LAlaland is giving me good reason to make this compromise. However, I will see my 2 seasons again. I don't know when, but it will for sure need to happen. Or else I'm afraid I won't have the same connection with a pen.
