Today I feel like I'm playing a similar game. There's 2 choices I have, 2 piles, and a ticking clock I need to keep up with. Just as if I'm trying to keep up with and beat the other player. It was an adrenaline rush trying to beat my friend. But let me tell you, trying to beat time is quite stressful. And the never ending part, scary. So many plans to set on top of each choice. I'll set them quickly and sufficiently, just like the cards. But the thing that's holding me back is my slow reflex response on choosing the right pile. In this case, the game is opposite. I need to choose the pile first before I take care of my cards. And it's not that I have to choose the smaller pile to ensure I'm eventually left with nothing...no, that would be horrible. Rather, I need the pile with the most cards to ensure a constant load and longevity.
So, relatively, I'm bad at knowing which is the right choice.
